BORN IN AFRICA
RETAIL STORE CONCEPT

Creating a store concept for Born in Africa, Cape Town, we turned to African textures, patterns, and colours as inspiration to create a beautiful showcase for our client’s product range. The colours and material textures were selected to represent a traditional mud hut. By incorporating metal, wood, ceramics, and other natural materials, we create a ‘hand-made’ feel without sacrificing luxury. The warm neutral palette is welcoming, set against a striking backdrop that exudes the spirit of Africa. A variety of lighting is used for dramatic effect, while staggered lighting, with lampshades reminiscent of ostrich eggs, reinforces the theme of Africa. The result is an exciting store that will draw the attention of both local and global visitors.
